AGC of California is committed to
development of both the construction industry's current and future
workforce. Below are some of the ways we show that commitment.
Construction Leadership Council (CLC)
The AGC Construction Leadership Council is an opportunity for up-and-coming construction professionals to advance their professional development and leadership skills. It is an important platform for young constructors to collaborate face-to-face with industry peers, and build a strong network. The CLC also offers mentoring and leadership opportunities.
AGC Student Chapters exist at accredited two and four-year schools offering programs in construction management, construction technology, and construction-related engineering. The AGC Construction Education Foundation currently supports California's network of over 500 Student Chapter members across 12 schools. With the help of AGC members and partners, students are provided with a opportunity to learn, observe and develop their professional skills with industry leaders. Student Chapter activities include: training, job walks, scholarships, and internship opportunities.
Construction Education Foundation (CEF)
The AGC Construction Education Foundation was founded by the AGC of California to establish construction as a viable career option and to promote the development of construction careers. As the workforce development arm of the association, AGC CEF achieves its mission through its construction career awareness, AGC Student Chapters, and scholarship programs.
