Microsoft Projects

Learn to use Microsoft Project to manage small to large-scale projects successfully and efficiently. In this workshop, Kuks introduces you to the MS Project user interface. You’ll get to plan and control a project, including creating filters, layouts, baselines, & reports. A “Microsoft Project Essentials Training” completion certificate is awarded.


Outline: 1. Introduction 2. Configuring preferences 3. Creating a project 4. Maintaining calendars 5. Creating the WBS 6. Adding activities 7. Formatting the schedule (bar chart, relationships, constraints, and filters) 8. Printing reports 9. Updating schedule and baseline comparison

Prerequisites: 1. Experience in a project environment 2. Understanding of how projects are planned and controlled 3. Basic project management processes 4. Understanding of Deliverables and development of a Work Breakdown Structure 5. Experience in the use of PCs and an understanding of the operating system 6. A laptop (Instructions to download the free trial Microsoft Project software* will be provided).
*Software is only needed if not currently installed on the computer used during training.

By registering for the session you are agreeing to the policies below:
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests must be received in writing at least 7 calendar days before training. In those circumstances, registration fees will be refunded, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellation requests received less than 7 calendar days before training cannot be refunded.
Transfer Policy: On an individually approved basis, registrants who must cancel enrollment due to extenuating circumstances may transfer their registration to a future training session, provided the same course is already scheduled within the calendar year. Transfers are assessed a 10% processing fee.
Substitution Policy: Registered attendees who must cancel their participation may request a substitute to attend in their place at any time. The request must be sent in writing by the original registrant to
trainging@agc-ca.org  before the session begins.
