Contract Administration

Construction projects revolve around contracts. Caring for the requirements of your own contract between you and your customer or administering the requirements of contracts with your subs and suppliers can be a monumental task. This overview of the contracting life cycle and critical associated tasks will help you learn how to identify essential requirements, set up effective systems, and manage within them. From negotiations to final closeout, every important step is considered.

This workshop will help you:

• define and understand roles, responsibilities, and authority levels under the contract

• create tools to assist in the administration of contracts

• avoid project problems and issues by using the contract as an effective management tool

• understand and manage the contract modification process

• understand inspection, acceptance and payment aspects of the contract

• know how to apply and enforce flow-down provisions

• learn to close out projects more efficiently

• build healthy relationships through prudent contract administration

By registering for the session you are agreeing to the policies below:
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests must be received in writing at least 7 calendar days before training. In those circumstances, registration fees will be refunded, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellation requests received less than 7 calendar days before training cannot be refunded.
Transfer Policy: On an individually approved basis, registrants who must cancel enrollment due to extenuating circumstances may transfer their registration to a future training session, provided the same course is already scheduled within the calendar year. Transfers are assessed a 10% processing fee.
Substitution Policy: Registered attendees who must cancel their participation may request a substitute to attend in their place at any time. The request must be sent in writing by the original registrant to
trainging@agc-ca.org  before the session begins.
