Lean Construction Education Program

Everyone related to the construction process has an incentive to get the project done faster and at a lower cost - from the project owners who want to see results for their investment to the contractors and designers who want to do their job well and move on to the next project. Lean Construction is based on the holistic pursuit of continuous improvements aimed at minimizing costs and maximizing value on a construction project: planning, design, construction, activation, operations, maintenance, salvaging, and recycling.

To help contractors develop the knowledge needed to build Lean, the Associated General Contractors of America developed the Lean Construction Education Program (LCEP). Construction professionals at all experience levels will learn the building blocks necessary to transform their projects and companies into a Lean Operating System. After participants complete all seven units of the program they become eligible to sit for an exam to earn the Certificate of Management.

Registration

  1. Register for the course on September 16, 2020, in order to register for the series. After registration, instructions on how to attend the virtual training sessions will be provided through email prior to September 16, 2020.
  2. It's recommended to complete a free self-paced, 50 minute, introductory course to lean principals prior to September 16, 2020, Lean 101: Foundations of Lean Construction
  3. Registration cost for the series is $1575 for members and $2205 for non-members. Additional fees include e-books at a cost of approximately $375, and a final exam at the cost of around $575. 
    Information on ordering e-books and registering for the exam will be provided following registration.

By registering for the session you are agreeing to the policies below:
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests must be received in writing at least 7 calendar days before training. In those circumstances, registration fees will be refunded, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellation requests received less than 7 calendar days before training cannot be refunded.
Transfer Policy: On an individually approved basis, registrants who must cancel enrollment due to extenuating circumstances may transfer their registration to a future training session, provided the same course is already scheduled within the calendar year. Transfers are assessed a 10% processing fee.
Substitution Policy: Registered attendees who must cancel their participation may request a substitute to attend in their place at any time. The request must be sent in writing by the original registrant to 
trainging@agc-ca.org  before the session begins.
