FAQ

Q: Do I have to register for the entire conference if I’m just attending Committee, Division and State Board Meetings?

A: Yes, you do have to register. If you plan to attend ONLY the business meetings there is a “Meetings Only” registration option.  It is complimentary to attend the business meetings only.

Please note, if you want access to any of the Conference activities or events –including the three receptions (Wed, Thurs, and Fri nights), the Education Seminars, or the Conference Expo (including breakfasts and lunches) you must be registered for the entire Conference.

Q: Do I have to register my spouse/guest for the conference or can I just register him/her for the Spouse/Guest Program?

A: You are not required to register your spouse/guest for conference, however, if they wish to access any of the Conference activities or events –including the three receptions (Wed, Thurs, and Fri nights), Education Seminars, or the Conference Expo (including breakfasts and lunches) your spouse/guest must be registered for the Conference itself.

WHY? Registration fees are used to cover our costs for food and beverage which is based on the # of people attending.

Q: I’m a speaker—am I required to register for the conference?

A: You do not have to register for the entire conference to attend the single meeting/education seminar you are speaking at, however, in order to access any of the Conference activities or events –including the three networking receptions (Wed, Thurs, and Fri nights), the Education Seminars you are not presenting at, or the Conference Expo (including breakfasts and lunches) you must be registered for the Conference itself.

Q: Will there be an Expo Hall at this conference?

A: Yes! The Conference Expo is back at Annual Conference and will host the Welcome Reception, conference breakfasts and lunches.

Q: What is the dress code or attire?

A: The recommended attire for the business meetings and training/education seminars is business casual.  For the Wed & Thurs night receptions and Spouse/Guest Program we are recommending resort casual and for the "Let the Good Times Roll" Friday Night Event we are requesting resort casual attire or your best Mardi Gras ensemble!

Resort Casual attire: (Men: khakis, and semi-casual shirt for men. Women: sundresses or semi-casual attire)

Q: Where can I find the information to make my hotel reservation? (phone number, online reservation link, group code)

A: A special discounted room rate of $209 has been secured for AGC of California attendees (standard guest rooms only). You will receive the online reservation link to make your reservation at the reduced rate within your event registration confirmation email.  The group block is available until September 25, 2017 or until it sells out, whichever comes first. Any reservations made after this date are subject to hotel availability and rates.

Q: When do I need to make hotel reservations by in order to get the conference rate of $209?

A: September 25th

Q: I (or my spouse) is a vegetarian. Do I need to give you that information on my registration form?

A: All of the receptions will have vegetarian option appetizers—no need to register in advance for a vegetarian meal.  If it’s for a spouse - the only place we need that information is if he/she is attending the Spouse/Guest Program.  There is a field to complete “special meal requests.”
